A PALETTE OF MANY COLOURS.
Neale Joseph is an established contemporary Australian artist who exhibits widely and has an impressive record of representation in national exhibitions.
Neale’s work echoes the beauty of the Australian landscape. He uses traditional mediums of oil and acrylic materials to capture the richness and diversity of Australian scenery. Profoundly aware of the interconnection of all life forms, Neale often produces work in response to specific backgrounds or environments using a diverse range of colour and depth.
Apart from beachscapes and landscapes, Neale loves to capture the intimate and spontaneous moments in the joy of everyday life through his work. Paintings such as Children at Play, Spending Time and Rock Pool Memories reflect his desire to represent the memoirs of family and childhood. Neale’s work provides an insight into his remarkable technique and his imagery provides a snapshot of his life and environment at that time.
Neale’s first solo exhibition was in 1990 on the Central Coast of New South Wales. He has since been awarded both the internationally recognised ‘Veuve Clicquot’ and ‘
Great
South
Land
’ art prizes and has exhibited regularly in solo and group exhibitions in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and
Brisbane
.
His most recent solo exhibitions in include ‘Heart of Australia’, ‘Paradise Collection’ and ‘Scent of Summer’ and Neale has had many sell out exhibitions including that in 1998 at Parliament House,
Canberra
. His work has also achieved acclaim from some of the most influential international and Australian icons such as former United States President George Bush Senior and former Australia Prime Minister John Howard. Large corporations such as IBM, Sara Lee, Dairy Farmers, Telstra and Commonwealth Bank of are also collectors of his work.
While Neale is humbled on the international and national recognition he has received, his roots are firmly planted on the Central Coast of New South Wales. In 1999, Neale opened his own gallery – Neale Joseph Fine Art Gallery - allowing him to exhibit his limited edition, classic oils and current exhibition paintings, as well as the work of other local and national renowned artists, sculptures and glass blowers.
